Asskala

A PLAY:
a tragedy in three proportionsAsskala Picture, Blog Version

It is mind-boggling how we have come to succeed in such a project. Pure Awe. I would appreciate some comments on this issue (perhaps the cast themselves may lend their voice?) as the posting is open to all. Nonetheless, I think a success as this should be paged on its own here. “I quote others only better to express myself.” (paradoxically, by Michel de Montaigne) I ask you, then, to pop this link here, to be redirected to the Asskala site, created by a dear friend, Miha Rolc (merci encore).

The background-concept are a Slovene poet’s words, that metaphysically encompass whatever the play was to (re)present—

I am a cell in the organism of the Universe.
What if the bright light is my spirit?
I do not want to be a sublimatum.
I am Life.

(more to come)

  2. Hey, now I finally see where that translation we were discussing about was going to be published … :) Now, I really have to ask my mother where she had put that Nemir booklet, and read it again, this time far more thoroughly …

  3. Would anyone be interested in staging it in York, in English? Some people could even fly in? Think about it …
