Karavlax Verbal Morpho-Synatx: a paradigmatic corpus of alleged stem-representative verbs
Introduction
The IE Vlax alleged verbal stems are verb endling in:
- -are (default verb being aflare, “to find”);
- -ire (default verb being advire “to hear, listen”);
- -eare (default verb being vedeare “to see”; alegeare being “to choose”).
Here follows a set of verbs, belonging to the alleged representative verbal stems. Please note that the original verb correspond to the IPA characters.

Morpho-Syntax: Ponderings on Verbal Perfection & Perfectiveness
When comparing the Karavlax verbs to the Romanian ones–the latter being not only the lexifying language bu the basilect itself–a very peculiar phenomenon becomes apparent. Romanian perfective and imperfective verbs “to see” are shown in (6) and (7).
